We follow the *Connecticut Frameworks for Preschool and use that as a guide when conferencing with parents.

Centers: Children work in small groups focusing on a variety of skills during "center time" including:social interactions, literacy, fine motor, math concepts, computers, block building, art, sensory activities and science.
Circle: Our whole class time consists of discussion of study unit, sharing of experiences, finger plays/music,literacy focus/reading of books. Our math curriculum is based on Everyday Math theories and is introduced through the calendar and weather activities.
Art: Supplies are out and available during center time, and we also have a set “art” time where we ask the children to sit and experiment with our supplies. Most art activities are known as "process art" rather than product.
Snack: A nutritious snack provided by families daily.
Outdoor Play: We plan on being outside EACH day weather permitting.
Movement Education: This activity is conducted in the C.E.C. (round) room.
Guest Reader Days: Church members, local guests, and your friends and family are asked to come read to our students.
Writing Workshops: (4 year olds only) Very basic, prewriting/writing ideas are shared and explored in a writing journal with parent volunteers and classroom teachers.
Special Guest Days: Occasionally we may bring in special guests when it fits our program theme for the week. Animals, firemen, and special community people may come visit!
